Your private guide and vehicle will collect you from the agreed meeting point before travelling towards the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Mallorca's most spectacular landscapes.
Our first main stop is Valldemossa, a beautiful mountain village surrounded by olive groves and the peaks of the Tramuntana. Your guide will take you on a walk through the historic centre, where traditional stone houses, narrow streets and small squares give Valldemossa its distinctive character. Along the way, you will learn about the history of the village and some of the personalities associated with it.
One of Valldemossa's most famous landmarks is the Royal Charterhouse (La Cartuja), closely associated with the stay of composer Frédéric Chopin and writer George Sand during the winter of 1838–1839. There will also be time to explore independently, browse the local shops, enjoy one of the village's cafés or try the traditional coca de patata.
If you would like to visit the interior of the Royal Charterhouse, this can be incorporated into the itinerary. Admission is not included in the standard tour price.
From Valldemossa, we continue through the Tramuntana landscape towards the west coast. We will stop at the famous Sa Foradada viewpoint, where the mountains meet the Mediterranean and you can enjoy one of the most recognisable panoramas on Mallorca's west coast.
The route then continues towards Deià, a small mountain village that has attracted artists, writers and musicians for generations and is particularly associated with the English poet and novelist Robert Graves. You will have time to discover Deià with your guide and explore its steep stone streets, traditional architecture and mountain setting.
Access and parking in Deià can be challenging, particularly for larger vehicles and during busy periods. Travelling on a private tour allows us to plan the visit with a vehicle and itinerary appropriate for the conditions on the day.
After visiting Deià, we return through the Serra de Tramuntana to your agreed drop-off point.
Valldemossa and Deià Private Tour Customer Reviews
We booked this during our cruise stop and it was a wonderful way to see the mountains and villages outside Palma. Valldemossa was beautiful, but the scenery on the way to Deià was just as memorable.
Very enjoyable day in the Tramuntana. Having a private vehicle made it easy to visit Valldemossa, Sa Foradada and Deià at a comfortable pace.

This private tour to Valldemossa and Deià was outstanding. Valldemossa was full of character and Deià felt exclusive and peaceful. The stop at Sa Foradada viewpoint was breathtaking. Our guide shared fascinating stories and allowed plenty of free time in each village. One of the most memorable experiences of our Mallorca trip.
We had a lovely day on this private tour in Mallorca, Albert, our tour guide, couldn’t have been better. These two towns are some of the most beautiful places we had ever seen. Full of charm and character. Albert was really entertaining and we loved listening to all his explanations. He told us about customs, curiosities, mallorcan lifestyle… Even if you are only in Mallorca for a few days you shouldn’t miss out on this great guided tour!
